Since our founding in 1980 by Ed Bittner as a custom gear representative in the Midwest, our company has grown and evolved in more ways than one. Today, we are a leading processor, packager, and provider of an array of carbon and graphite-bearing materials that serve a diverse range of industries.

The applications of our materials are extensive. They are used in Charge, Trim, and Furnace Metal Cover applications for the Mill and Foundry industries, both Ferrous and Nonferrous, and the Metal Refining industry. They also serve as additives in Formulations for various sectors, including Lubricants, Plastics, Rubbers, Friction, and Drilling.

Beyond providing quality products and outstanding service, we are committed to helping our customers meet their environmental objectives. Our Recycling Initiative enables the recycling of spent carbon/graphite powders, various used and new shapes, as well as Arc Furnace Electrodes. We even have a charitable aspect to our recycling program, contributing at least $.01/lb for every pound recycled to a charity of our customers’ choice.
